Hraniční stav mysli na pomezí vědomí a nevědomí přibližuje filmová mozaika složená ze střípků dokumentárních, inscenovaných i historických záběrů a výňatků z uměleckých děl. Šílenství, imaginace, noční můry, matoucí propasti vedoucí do odrazů a dalších a dalších dveří. Louie žije s epilepsií a jeho matka stojí v těžké nemoci neochvějně při něm. Až do dvanácti let byl Louie zdravé a vnímavé dítě. Pak ale přišel jeho první epileptický záchvat, kterým začíná nová životní kapitola na hraně všedního vnímání. Předepsané léky mají silný dopad na jeho paměť, vrhají ho do stavů mentální paralýzy i do hrůzyplných říší divů. Tyto světy se však stávají i základem pro jeho kreativní vyjádření. Film přibližuje život s epilepsií, hlubiny lidské mysli, ale i naději na zlepšení.

The borderline state of mind on the border between consciousness and the unconscious is brought to light by a film mosaic composed of fragments of documentary, staged and historical footage and excerpts from works of art. Madness, imagination, nightmares, confusing abysses leading to reflections and more and more doors. Louie lives with epilepsy and his mother stands steadfastly by his side during his serious illness. Until the age of twelve, Louie was a healthy and receptive child. But then came his first epileptic seizure, which began a new chapter in his life on the edge of everyday perception. The prescribed medications have a strong impact on his memory, throwing him into states of mental paralysis and terrifying wonderlands. However, these worlds also become the basis for his creative expression. The film brings to light life with epilepsy, the depths of the human mind, but also the hope for improvement.
