Film zachycuje tři arménské generace ve vesnici Tališ v Náhorním Karabachu. Lidé se snaží žít normální život, ale připravují se na další válku mezi Arménií a Ázerbájdžánem. Při té v roce 2016 odsud muselo arménské obyvatelstvo utéct. Teď se sem po třech letech vrací.

Kluci Avo a Samvel si hrají na troskách své školy a ve vyučování trénují zacházení se zbraněmi. Mladík Erik vykonává povinnou vojenskou službu. Veterán Karen vzpomíná na poslední boje. Tři příběhy jsou metaforou dějin nekončícího konfliktu.

V roce 2020 Ázerbájdžán znovu útočí a získává velkou část území. Stejně jako vojáka Erika trápí fantomová bolest nohy, o kterou přišel v zákopech, arménská populace truchlí za ztracenou zem. Lidé stále vědí, že tako tragédie nebyla poslední. Její další dějství se odehrává v roce 2023.

The film depicts three generations of Armenians in the village of Talysh in Nagorno-Karabakh. People try to live a normal life, but they are preparing for another war between Armenia and Azerbaijan. During the war in 2016, the Armenian population had to flee from here. Now, after three years, they are returning here.

The boys Avo and Samvel play in the ruins of their school and practice how to handle weapons in class. Young Erik is doing his mandatory military service. Veteran Karen remembers the last battles. The three stories are a metaphor for the history of the never-ending conflict.

In 2020, Azerbaijan attacks again and regains a large part of its territory. Just as soldier Erik is tormented by the phantom pain of the leg he lost in the trenches, the Armenian population mourns for the lost land. People still know that this tragedy was not the last. Its next act takes place in 2023.
